Fox News Host Crashes Donald Trump Speech With Blunt Reminder

via FOX

Fox News host Neil Cavuto cut away from broadcasting Donald Trump’s speech at the southern border to note that while Trump received more votes in 2020 than 2016, he nonetheless lost the election to Joe Biden.

Trump had claimed during his remarks that things changed after the election, implying the results were illegitimate.

Trump said, “We were doing a great job and that’s where it stood and then we had an election that we ended up getting many millions of more votes than … We did much better in 2020 than we ever even thought about doing in 2016.”

“And very bad things happened and from that moment, it was a whole different ballgame in Texas and all over,” said Trump.

Cavuto acknowledged Trump did get millions more votes but emphasized “he still lost that election” and that fact is no longer in dispute.

Cavuto said, “We’re continuing to monitor this.”

Cavuto said, “Just one slight thing I wanted to add because when you hear it, and you heard from Donald Trump about the 2020 election, and he got millions more votes. In fact, he did get millions more votes.”

He added, “He still lost that election. That is not in doubt anymore. That’s not being debated anymore.”

Cavuto’s remarks aimed to provide context for Trump repeating his disproven claims of electoral fraud, showing a willingness at Fox to challenge Republicans including the former president.
