Habba: Courts Being Used Against Trump Because They Can’t Beat Him in Polls

via FOX

Donald Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba accused Democrats of pursuing legal action against Trump in both criminal and civil court because they cannot defeat him politically.

She argued that using two teams of lawyers against one man for issues he did nothing wrong on amounts to a disgrace and witch hunt.

“The fact that we have two courts, not one — criminal and civil — being used against one man because they cannot beat him in the polls is a disgrace to the American judicial system,” Habba said.

“You should not have two teams of lawyers here today. You should not even be here today, because he did nothing wrong. It is the epitome of a witch hunt,” she said.

Habba defended Trump in two separate cases, one involving allegations of inflating assets for loans which he has since paid back, and another involving falsifying business records related to hush money payments.

She criticized the judge in the asset case for not understanding financing and called the hush money case a joke.

Habba stated that Democrats should be afraid of Trump for 2024 as the American people see these legal actions for what they are.

“I am sick of coming in front of the press and saying this, but you have to because you people need to understand what is going on. God forbid you put an accounting thing in for ‘legal counsel.’ … Because they’re afraid of 2024. And you know what? They should be because the American people are not stupid. They see what’s going on,” she said.
