Comedian Katt Williams on Reparations: Money to Ukraine Should Go to Black Americans

via Club Shay Shay

Comedian Katt Williams addressed the issue of reparations for black Americans in his Netflix special “Woke Foke.”

He joked that the billions sent to Ukraine should have instead gone to black communities in the U.S., arguing that while he supports Ukrainians, black people have endured more and aren’t as well-known.

“It is now time for black people in America to get paid reparations for everything that them and their ancestors have been through in American history,” Williams said.

Williams said it’s time for black reparations given their history, and that black Los Angelenos could have used the Ukraine money to defeat Russia themselves.

His set also included jokes about a bag of cocaine found at the White House and transgender athletes competing in women’s sports, referring specifically to transgender genitalia.

“Why now, Katt? Thanks for asking, white friends. I’ll tell you why now, and understand, white friends, I don’t speak for all black people. But I do speak for all [expletive]. And you are not supposed to know the difference,” he joked.

“We just gave $100 billion to the Ukraine. And God bless the Ukrainians. But off the record? We don’t know them [expletive] like that! You could’ve gave that money to black people. The [expletive]? We done gave them all that money. The truth is they over there getting their [expletive] whooped over there. You coulda gave that money to the black people of Los Angeles, and they’d have went over there and whooped their [expletive] in two weeks.”

The special touched on political issues like U.S. border policy and financial support for Ukraine in a provocative comedic style.
