via MSNBC

A group of January 6th defendants has reportedly filed a class action lawsuit against 21 Capitol Police officers and others seeking millions in damages.

Defendant Jake Lang, who is 29 and has been in jail without trial for his 4th birthday, told a news program about the suit.

Lang and over 78 others claim they were shot with rubber bullets, bludgeoned, sprayed with chemicals and suffered lung effects by police on January 6th.

“I got shot in the foot with a rubber bullet, other people were bludgeoned nearly to death, hit with chemical spray and had long-lasting lung effects and so… we are now serving 21 defendants…Capitol Police officers, Capitol Police officials,” defendant Jake Lang said.

The lawsuit is being handled by attorneys Stephanie Lambert and Russell Newman. Lang also stated 17 other Capitol Police and MPD officers remain to be served in the lawsuit over their actions that left 4 unarmed protestors dead on January 6th.

Lang has pleaded not guilty to charges of assaulting officers, civil disorder and unlawful entry related to the protests.

“17 other US Capitol Police / MPD officers & officials remain to be SERVED in the J6 Class Action Lawsuit for their actions that left 4 unarmed peaceful protestors dead,” Lang said.
