Nancy Pelosi’s House Floor Rant Sparks Backlash Online

via MSNBC

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi passionately addressed the issue of TikTok, emphasizing that proposed legislation aims to improve the platform rather than ban it.

She used a tic-tac-toe analogy to make her point, highlighting concerns about suppression in China.

“This is not a ban on TikTok. It’s an attempt to make TikTok better. Tic-tac-toe. A winner! A winner!” Pelosi said.

“The people of China have come forth… they are suppressed. They cannot put their message out,” Pelosi said. “A winner. And here’s what I have to say. The people of China have come forth. The Tibetans have come forth and said on TikTok in China, they are suppressed.”

However, social media users offered contrasting views, with some accusing Pelosi of dishonesty regarding the TikTok ban.

“Nancy Pelosi is lying to you about the TikTok ban,” one X user wrote.

“Meanwhile in clown world… Nancy Pelosi: ‘This is not an attempt to ban TikTok it’s an attempt to make TikTok better. Tic-tac-toe… a winner, a winner,’” another wrote. “I think she’s drunk again folks.”
