Juror Dismissed After Trump’s Legal Team Finds ‘Lock Him Up’ Posts

via ABC News

During jury selection for Donald Trump’s criminal trial over hush money payments, potential jurors were questioned about social media posts.

Trump’s lawyers had one dismissed who posted about putting Trump in jail, with the judge acknowledging the post was problematic as a potential jail sentence was possible if convicted.

“Everyone knows if Mr. Trump is found guilty in this case, there’s a potential jail sentence which would be lock up,” Judge Juan Merchan said.

Another was dismissed over a 2017 post saying “lock him up.”

Out of 96 potential jurors on the first day, over 50 were dismissed for inability to be impartial.

On the second day, others were dismissed including one who posted about Republicans gaining seats in “prison” and another who shared a parody video of Trump.

The first seven jurors were selected as jury selection continued in Trump’s trial over falsifying business records related to payments made to Stormy Daniels in 2016.
