“Carlos and Alexa are audience favorites and beloved for their commitment to family on and off the screen, which is the foundation of Mr. Manhattan,” Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media, stated.

“And we are excited about a number of additional projects in development with these two enormously talented actors,” he added.

The movie follows a man who becomes godfather to his brother’s children after a tragic accident leaves him as their single father.

Great American Pure Flix is a faith-based streaming service focused on uplifting family content.

Bure had previously left Hallmark Channel to join Great American Family network, wanting to produce faith-filled stories with more meaning.

In an interview, she said Hallmark had changed leadership and she knew Great American Media was run by Christians wanting to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.

“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,” Bure said, adding that Hallmark had become “a completely different network” because of a “change of leadership.”

Carlos and Alexa PenaVega are now the latest popular stars to follow Bure in leaving Hallmark.
