Media Laughs as Trump Shuts Down Reporter Asking About Campaign

via The Young Turks

Former President Donald Trump was asked by reporters if he would contribute more money to his presidential campaign now that the bond in his New York civil business fraud trial had been reduced from $454 million to $175 million.

Trump replied “it’s none of your business” whether he would increase campaign funding, but said the lower bond amount gives him more flexibility and that he “might” contribute to his campaign.

“You mentioned the cash you have, you said on Friday, it’s something like $500 million?” a reporter asked.

“Now that the bond’s been reduced, are you going to start putting money into your campaign? You haven’t done that since 2016,” they added.

Trump said, “Well, first of all, it’s none of your business, I mean, frankly.”

Trump added, “But I might. I might do that. I have the option.”

“But if I have to spend $500 million on a bond, I wouldn’t have that option,” Trump said. “I’d have to start selling things.”

The appellate court ruling reduces Trump’s financial obligations while allowing him to continue business operations and preventing the New York Attorney General from seizing his assets during the appeals process.
