Judicial Watch Sues to Get 911 Call, Arrest Report of Laken Riley’s Murder

via ANF

Judicial Watch is suing the University of Georgia Police Department to obtain records related to the murder of Laken Riley in February.

The conservative watchdog group seeks to make public the 911 call Riley made as she was attacked, as well as initial police reports of the incident and arrest of Jose Antonio Ibarra, the Venezuelan illegal immigrant charged with her murder.

Judicial Watch argued there are political forces that want to suppress the truth about what happened and insists on transparency under open records law for public interest and safety.

“There are many political forces that wish to suppress the truth about what happened to Laken Riley, but Judicial Watch will insist on transparency under the law for the public interest and public safety,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton stated.

Ibarra had previously been cited for shoplifting and released from custody in New York despite an ICE detainer, highlighting issues with sanctuary policies.

He remains jailed without bail in Riley’s death.
