Jim Jordan Subpoenas Fulton DA Fani Willis Following Whistleblower Allegations

via FOX

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has subpoenaed Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis as part of the committee’s investigation into allegations of federal fund misuse in the prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

The subpoena follows claims that Willis fired a staffer who warned about potential misuse of federal funds.

The committee’s oversight is prompted by concerns about the alleged misuse of federal grant funding and the subsequent firing of the whistleblower.

“These allegations raise serious concerns about whether you were appropriately supervising the expenditure of federal grant funding allocated to your office and whether you took actions to conceal your office’s unlawful use of federal funds,” the letter read.

“In our prior letters, we requested several categories of material relevant for our oversight,” Jordan wrote.

“However, in response to the recently disclosed whistleblower allegations and as an accommodation, we are prioritizing the production of documents concerning your office’s receipt and use of federal funds. Accordingly, please find attached a subpoena for the requested documents and information,” he wrote.

The subpoena requests documents related to the office’s receipt and use of federal funds.

This action comes after allegations that a campaign aide planned to use federal grant money for unauthorized expenses, and the subsequent firing of the employee who raised the concern.

Willis was subpoenaed in another case involving special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
